CAP: Karen speaking at the 2009 Southern Gospel Hall of Fame Awards ceremoniesCAP: Karen Peck & New River, following the 2008 Grammy Award ceremonies, for which they were nominated.Daniel's special guest for the week of March 8th is Karen Peck. Karen's is a name known throughout Southern Gospel music, as she's been at the heart of it for many years. Today, there's much going on in her life, including replacing the third member of her trio, Karen Peck & New River. Along with her sister Susan, they've recently brought on board Jeff Hawes of Flat Rock, Alabama.

CAP: Jeff HawesAnd, Karen has stepped in as President of the Southern Gospel Music Association and its Hall of Fame and Museum, located inside of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. She's actively working with Executive Director Charlie Waller to re-invigorate the industry's Hall of Fame function and Awards ceremony ... which, this year for the first time, is being combined with the Singing News Fan Awards as one big event to be held in late September.

We're not sure what all is to be discussed ... but with Karen in the mix, we assure you it won't be boring ... on this next Daniel Britt & Friends!
