She comes from a family heritage of Gospel singers and has been singing herself since a very young age. Now, her Gospel Music ministry extends to more than the music. On the edition of Daniel Britt & Friends for the week of August 30th … Candy Hemphill Christmas joins Daniel at his conversation table to talk about her connections to the Hemphills and the Goodmans, plus her years on the Gaither Homecoming Tour.
Today, Candy is still singing and recording, but the message of the Gospel in song is filtered through the lens of generosity to the homeless under "the bridge" in Nashville. Hear about her passion for helping those in need -- who also helped her through a dark time in her life. All of these life experiences have stirred the creativity behind her new album, On the Other Side Daniel will feature these new sounds, plus classic Candy Christmas hits from through the years.
Her story will encourage and challenge and her music will bring a “freshness” to a familiar voice in Gospel music. This week, and Part Two next week, on Daniel Britt & Friends!

Every song on Paul’s program for the weekend of September 4th (other than Featured Artist selections) are being introduced by listeners who called his Listener Favorite Call-In Line when it was opened a few weeks ago. Listen to see if any of your friends are among them. He'll also include a mini-countdown of the five most-requested songs during the Call-In. And Paul will have one Listener Favorite that goes back more than half a century!

And, his Featured Artist on this program will be singer/songwriter Michael Combs, whose distinctive voice and to-the-point songs always touch listeners and concert-goers. Paul will play some songs from his current Rain On Me CD and talk with Michael about his life, his songs, his ministry and his goals. He'll tell why he believes God spared his life nearly two decades ago when he required a liver transplant. And he'll also tell you how he writes his songs, which usually comprise his entire recordings.

On this Labor Day weekend marking the end of Summer and the beginning of the Fall season, the Jubilee is pleased to present another very special anniversary concert. In early July, it was the celebration of Gold City’s 10th anniversary … exactly 20 years to the week after it took place in Gadsden, Alabama.
Now, you can add another 10 years to that, as this weekend it’s time to sit back and enjoy all hour and 35 minutes of their 20th birthday party, which took place at the Graceland Community Church in Franklin, Tennessee, on May 21st, 2000 … and featured the lineup of Jay Parrack, Jonathan Wilburn, Mark Trammell, and Tim Riley.

In preparation for worship and a new week, enLighten presents a collection of hymns and praise melodies in a traditional setting.
